The Building Control Advisor (BCA) is normally appointed by a Principal Contractor or Project Manager to carry out an independent third-party certification and inspection function on Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice and Crown premises projects to ensure compliance within the design solutions, as contained within the Fire Safety Design Guide, Approved Documents and The Building Regulation Compliance System.
BCA’s must be suitably qualified and experienced in Building Control and working as a Building Control Professional.
A Building Control Advisor can support client teams on high-risk buildings or complex buildings by advising on how to comply with the Building Regulations.
This service is not available when Coast 2 Coast Building Control is also the Registered Building Control Approver appointed under the Building Regulations.
